National Health Council Gives a Second Chance to Unfunded NIH Proposals |
The National Health Council has recently created a new portal called Health Research Funding to provide a mechanism for researchers who have had proposals scored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) but were not funded.
The site provides researchers with an alternative for viable proposal ideas. Researchers can enter information about their proposal into the database. Currently, NHC Member Patient Advocacy Organizations are able to add solicitations to the database, so users can match their technology with open opportunities. This will work in both directions, with the organizations being able to search through the data base of proposals. Other types of organizations will be allowed to register in the future. Only researchers who have received a peer-review score on their proposal are eligible for registration. This restriction is meant to keep the quality of the submitted proposals high. For more information, visit the Health Research Funding website. |
