Hot on the heels of Beta 1, we have released Beta 2 of the very promising Kookaburra forum. This release fixes the ItemID problems (it kept loosing it), a number of Admin errors and adds captcha to posting.
As usual we would ask that everyone who has a little time grab a copy and start testing.

Hot on the heels of the first alpha release of Kookaburra Forum comes the Beta 1 release. Numerous bug fixes and a small amount of refactoring has greatly improved stability. We are still encouraging anyone with a bit of time on their hands to help out by downloading and testing the release and most importantly... reporting bugs on the tracker found here.
If you have any questions or fixes please let us know in the forums.

Having changed from SMF to PunBB and still being anoyed at the problems arising from bridged forums we have forked PunBB to create an all new fully integrated Joomla! Forum. So with that we can anounce the release of Kookaburra 0.0.1 Alpha.
Kookaburra does away with any bridge and integrates beautifully into Joomla!. Users are integrated and the URL's are all native Joomla!. The last major task in migration of the DB functionality to Joomla!'s DB API. Additionally we have included many of the most popular PunBB modifications including...
- Sub Forums
- Global Mods
- Private Messaging
- Attachments
- BBCode Toolbar
Now its time to get testing so we are asking that anyone able, download the Alpha and start doing so. The more people that help the faster Joomla! will get a fully featured fully integrated native forum extension.
